• Life at Vibrant

Vibrant holds the belief that our team should ‘work hard, play hard’, and enjoy the environment they work in.

    What do you do?

I am the Creative Designer for Vibrant UK

Describe your team in three words?

    Passionate, Dynamic and imaginative!

What attracted you to Vibrant and what keeps you here?

Its’ passion, ingenuity and belief in the company and the people who make it. Vibrant invests in us, as a whole and everyone individually. There is a genuine unity and determination to do the best and achieve the best we can. Plus, the SoCo team ensures all our hard work is well worth it – any excuse to celebrate is quickly taken!

    What makes someone Vibrant?

Their diversity and – the buzzword here! – passion for the company and industry. A hard-working, forward–thinking person who is motivated to succeed not just in the company but to grow and develop themselves – which Vibrant ensures they support and help any way possible.

What daily tasks do you enjoy most and why?

Finding new and diverse ways to make every unit, every creative different and unique to each client/campaign. Finding an unsual and fresh approach to briefs that challenge not only myself, puts the campaign in a fresh prospective for clients.

More importantly, what’s a typical Vibrant night out?

Lively, priceless, unique, selfie-packed evenings that never fail to give entertainment in photo form for years to come.

Despite being born & bred in the South East, the majority of people I first meet don’t believe that I’m British… A colleague though I was Australian for 3months!

    What do you do?

I work as a Snr. Publisher Solutions Manager. My main tasks are to manage our existing network of International Publishers and to prospect/acquire new ones.

Describe your team in three words?

    Smart, Fun and Hardworking.

What attracted you to Vibrant and what keeps you here?

Back in 2005, the digital industry was still in its infancy and companies like Vibrant were paving the way to what is Digital Advertising today – a vibrant an exciting place disrupting some of the most established business sectors such as TV and print. I couldn’t have chosen a better place than Vibrant to start off my career in this industry.

What daily tasks do you enjoy most and why?

My daily tasks include supporting our International publishers with any commercial and technical requests they may have, and making sure that we have enough inventory to deliver our International campaigns. Apart from playing table tennis, the most rewarding thing for me is to sign the next big publisher who has great, engaging content for our advertisers!

I did my military service in France when it was compulsory and during that year, I was detached to the Central African Republic for four months and I had the time of my life! Looking back, I see it as my gap year.

    What do you do?

I’m an account manager for the UK sales team. I started back in 2013 after having a short stint in TV production.

Describe your team in three words?

    Friends, funny and honest.

What attracted you to Vibrant and what keeps you here?

Coming in for my Interview at Vibrant I knew I wanted to work here instantly. It has what a lot of companies don’t have and that’s personality. Vibrant has been around for over 10 years in an incredibly tough market and I think that’s down to the people they employ. You ask anyone past or present and they will tell you won’t find a better team of people across all departments.

    What makes someone Vibrant?

Personality combined with a MUST love of ‘The Office’ & ‘Alan Partridge’

What daily tasks do you enjoy most and why?

Our content solutions offering is probably the most exciting and enjoyable aspect of my role. Having weekly brainstorms on how to create more content for our campaigns/briefs is great. It just pushes you to think more cleverly about how to use the digital space.

More importantly, what’s a typical Vibrant night out?

A typical night out at vibrant has evolved over the past year or so. But the overall goal has never changed. That is to get as drunk as possible in the quickest possible way. Me – Larger, AJ – Larger, Calum – Larger sometimes Cider. Different drinks for different needs… An Aggressive drinking pace is a common sight on a Thursday night out, as is Henry taking his shirt off. (This makes us sound like terrible people)

I like to write scripts for TV in my spare time. One which actually got funded on Kickstarter when I was at University. The goal was only £1000 but it was still a good achievement.

    What do you do?

I’m a junior JavaScript engineer. I work on, maintain, and develop our current library of products.

Describe your team in three words?

    Fast paced, dynamic, fun

What attracted you to Vibrant and what keeps you here?

The easy going nature of the company and the people in it. It’s the kind of place that you can walk in and immediately feel comfortable and welcome which is paramount for me.

Vibrant’s technologies are also all in-house and the scope of them drew me to them. From the in-Text engine itself, to the engaging products and applications it powers, there is so much to get stuck into!

    What makes someone Vibrant?

Someone who isn’t afraid to be themselves, have good laugh and is committed to pushing both themselves and the company forward. The more entertaining the personality, the better!!!

What daily tasks do you enjoy most and why?

I actually enjoy helping others out the most. More often than not it gives me the opportunity to learn something new and work with a wider variety of teams. That, and sinking my teeth in and getting lost in various problems that need solving!

More importantly, what’s a typical Vibrant night out?

Great friends, plenty of alcohol (there’s no such thing as “too much” right?) and some memorable but regrettable stories the morning after!!

Tell us something no one else knows about you!

I love my personal space. Kicking back with a good game, book or film to escape after the day’s activities are all said and done is heaven for me

    Calum

    What do you do?

I look after the Marketing in the UK, and act as the mediator to the Global team.

Describe your team in three words?

    Ambitious, creative pranksters

What attracted you to and what do you like most about Vibrant?

Its passion and energy, as well as a real sense of opportunity, is what first attracted me to Vibrant. It has a strong belief in its employees, and I knew that I would be fully supported in achieving my ambitions here.

There is so much to like about Vibrant, but I’d have to say the people, their enthusiasm and a true sense of job satisfaction is what makes it great! From the minute you walk through the door everyone makes you feel welcome, and with the social committee doing such a wonderful job, there is always something going on to ensure that everyone interacts and has an excuse to celebrate. The hard-work and determination of individuals is never over-looked and you feel proud to be part of such a successful Company.

    What makes someone Vibrant?

A hunger for success, and an appetite for innovation. That and the ability to have a laugh! Work-hard, play-hard is the ethos here.

What daily tasks do you enjoy most and why?

Creating exciting content. Having the opportunity to write, whether it be for internal collateral, decks or coming up with something innovative to say on our new website, is exciting, especially when it helps to position Vibrant strongly within a tough market.

More importantly, what’s a typical Vibrant night out?

Whether you just go out to grab a bite, or you’re dropping your best moves in one of the local bars, it’s safe to say it is always priceless and huge amounts of fun.

Tell us something no one else knows about you!

I dance! I am part of a weekly street dance group and occasionally do ballet. It’s something I have always done for fun, and it’s quite amusing to pull out some unexpected moves on a night out.
