2010 VIBRANT AWARDS ANNOUNCED

Intel and Sainsbury's Voted Top by UK Advertising Industry

London, June 18, 2010 — Vibrant announces the winners of its third annual Awards, recognising the best of the UK’s contextual advertising campaigns for 2010. The Gold Award went to Intel/OMD London for the vPro campaign and the Silver Award was given to Sainsbury's/PHD London for Sainsbury’s Recipe Unit campaign – both demonstrated creative and dynamic use of in-text advertising.

To complete the UK Vibrant Awards 2010: General Motors/ACT Europe for Open Astra picked up Best Multi-Market Execution; Hewlett Packard/M2M for PhotoSmart Touch Screen received Best Creative Execution; and Unilever/Mindshare for Vaseline Intensive Rescue achieved Best Evergreen (best all year round) Execution.

The Global Vibrant Awards, which were announced on 3 June, saw Microsoft/Razorfish/ Universal McCann awarded the Gold Award; and IBM/Neo@Ogilvy Worldwide NY won the Silver Award.

Craig Gooding, Co-founder and CCO of Vibrant says, "This has been a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the brands which have leveraged the power of hyperlinks to deliver great user experiences through their campaigns. This year, entrants took advantage of the medium to deliver real utility through content such as recipes search, video, real-time results and even Twitter feeds. We are delighted that Vibrant has helped brands innovate their advertising by using our in-text technology. Congratulations to all our winners."

Entries were evaluated by a panel of experts and online voting by members of the advertising industry (list of judges below). Winners were selected based on the creativity of the campaign concept and its ability to align with words within web content; how well in-text advertising contributed to the online campaign overall; and whether in-text advertising effectively communicated the brand message.

Paul Hood, Head of Digital, The Mirror Group and on the UK judging panel for this year's Vibrant Awards adds, "The standard of the entries shortlisted for the Vibrant media awards was astonishing. I'll definitely be stealing some of the innovative ideas to apply to our own digital marketing."

Daniel Stephenson, Head of Digital Marketing, Channel Integration COI and also a UK judge for the Vibrant Awards adds, "The campaigns show how brands are thinking more about the creative and content of their advertising, combined with intelligent targeting, to give something of real value to their audience"

Vibrant gives brand marketers the opportunity to deliver highly targeted advertisements within web content and offers publishers editorial tools to provide consumers with a richer user experience. Vibrant works with over 4,000 premium publishers, reaching more than 164 million unique users per month (comScore May 2010).
