Tech Talk Thursday – Latest Tech Views!
It’s that time of week again, where our wonderful Tech team take over our blog. As the world celebrated International Women’s Day yesterday we want to honour the marvellous women we have in Tech. So this week and going forward, we are handing the blog over to Ighi.
Ighi is our Senior SQL Database Administrator in the Tech Team and is based in the London. Extremely passionate about all things tech, Ighi has some great stories to share with you this week on what’s captivated her in the world of tech!
Ighi’s Tech Stories!
Moving from human-computer interactions to human-computer relationships – This is one of my go to podcasts for the latest tech learning resources. The sessions are always informative and O’Reilly neatly puts together an accompanying article to cover each podcast. This week Jenn Webb chats to anthropologist, futurist, Intel Fellow, and director of interaction and experience at Intel, Genevieve Bell.
Findlectures.com – A new website to search for lectures in technology to fine arts!! The site is very simple, think Craigslist set up. But there’s a wealth of information split by features, category, type, speaker and year given. Currently, there are 585 lectures online for Bill Clinton and 233 for Barak Obama. Enjoy!
Uber to help U.K’s National Health Service connect caregivers with elderly patients – Interesting to read some new developments and what this could mean for both parties.
CNN launches global VR journalism unit and new 360-degree mobile content – At Vibrant we have just released a suite of VR & AR solutions as we truly believe they have a big role to play in the next generation of online adverts. CNN has become the latest news organization to move into this space. Great to see so much new VR content being produced.
Have a great Thursday, until next week! All the best, Ighi.
