Both options write your blog posts and social copy from a brief, both work in your voice, and both put the draft in front of a person before anything is public — neither one replaces your judgement about what should go out. Both also depend on channels you already own: your site, your accounts, your logins. And with either one, the numbers that show whether it worked come out of your own Search Console and Analytics, not out of a slide.
Choose Vibrant Media if you want seven roles covered for $49–$499 a month with monthly caps printed on the plan before you pay. Choose a freelance marketer if the work you need includes paid ads, photo or video, someone sitting in your meetings, or posting done for you on LinkedIn, X and Instagram — three things we do not do and one we hand back to you.
What both actually do
The overlap is larger than either side's marketing suggests. Both produce articles and social copy from a brief you supply, both keep a person between the draft and the public, both publish into property you already own, and both report on results using the same two Google products. The differences below are about coverage, price and who does the clicking — not about whether the words get written.
| What both do | How it works here | How it works there |
|---|---|---|
| Write from your brief | Seven AI roles run the brief you fill in | One person writes from the same brief |
| Keep your brand voice | A brand gate reads every draft for voice | They learn your voice over the first weeks |
| Wait for a human to approve | Approving in the app is what publishes it | You reply "yes" by email or Slack |
| Publish to your own blog | API into WordPress, Shopify or Ghost | They log into the site you gave them |
| Report on results | Search Console and GA4, or "no data yet" | Their report, from the same Google data |
Where a freelancer wins
They can do the work that has no mechanism here. Paid ads, photo shoots, video, events, a visit to your shop — a freelance marketer takes any of it on. None of it exists in this product: there is no ad account, no budget, no bidding, and nothing that leaves a screen. Vibrant Media: we write, design images and prepare posts; everything physical or paid-media stays outside.
They will go and find out what you sell. A freelancer asks questions, joins the call, reads your inbox, talks to your customers, and comes back with an angle you had not written down. Vibrant Media: the team works from the brief you fill in. The setup wizard can read your public site — at most five pages, only when you press the button, and it obeys that site's robots.txt — but nobody here attends a meeting.
They post everywhere, not just to your blog. Give a freelancer your LinkedIn, X or Instagram access and the posting is done for you, on their schedule. Vibrant Media: we post through a real integration to three destinations — WordPress, Shopify and Ghost. For Medium, Telegram, LinkedIn, X, Pinterest, Reddit, Instagram, YouTube Shorts and TikTok, the team writes the post and a step-by-step checklist and you publish it from your own account. Nine of twelve channels are a hand-off, and we ask for no password for those.
They can adapt the month mid-month. Need eleven articles this month and two the next, or a landing page instead of a post? A person reshuffles it. Vibrant Media: the caps are fixed per plan and the server refuses the attempt past them — 12 articles on Solo, 20 on Team, 50 on Scale.
Where the AI team wins
Seven roles, not one. Team at $199/mo covers AI-Blogger, AI-SEO, AI-SMM, AI-Designer, AI-Analyst, AI-LinkBuilder and the Chief AI-Manager. Solo at $49/mo is the blogger and the chief only. A freelancer: at that price you are buying one person, and most of them write.
The month is a number you can read before paying. Solo: 12 articles, 1 channel. Team: 20 articles, 60 social packs, all 12 channels. Scale: 50 articles, 200 images, 200 social packs, 2,000 team requests. Those numbers are the same ones the server enforces. A freelancer: the output is hours, and hours are quoted per engagement.
Every draft is checked before you read it. Six gates run on each piece — facts, brand voice, SEO, policy, whether it repeats an earlier piece of yours, and whether an assistant can read it. Unqualified medical, legal or financial advice is blocked outright, and the gates fail closed: an unreadable verdict means "do not pass". A freelancer: the check is their own second read.
Nothing runs unattended, and there is no switch to make it. Every draft lands in Approvals on your Results screen. You read it, edit it in place, and approving it is what publishes it. There is no unattended-posting toggle in the product. A freelancer: the same discipline holds only as long as you do not hand over the logins.
The evidence comes from your Google, or it says so. The analyst reads Search Console and GA4 — impressions, clicks, positions. With Google not connected, the report says "no data yet — Google not connected" instead of showing a number. A freelancer: the same two sources, formatted by hand.
What it costs
Our prices are the published plan prices; the freelance range is what monthly content-marketing retainers are quoted at in the US, Canada, Australia and Europe in 2026. Both are before the cost of the tools, the site and the ad budget, which stay yours either way.
| Plan | Price | What's included |
|---|---|---|
| Vibrant Media Solo | $49/mo | AI-Blogger + Chief Manager, 12 articles, 1 channel |
| Vibrant Media Team | $199/mo | All 6 specialists + Chief, 20 articles, 60 social packs |
| Vibrant Media Scale | $499/mo | 50 articles, 200 images, 200 social packs, 2,000 team requests |
| A freelance marketer | $500–1,500/mo | One person, part-time; retainers quoted in US/CA/AU/EU, 2026 |
What a month looks like
Our column is the Team plan at $199/mo. The freelance column describes a part-time retainer with one person; every number in it is a market range for 2026, named in the cell.
| What you're comparing | Vibrant Media | A freelance marketer |
|---|---|---|
| What you're actually buying | A subscription to seven AI roles | One person's time, usually retainer hours |
| Roles covered | All seven on Team; two on Solo | One person, most often writing plus some SEO |
| Where the work comes from — the brief | A brief you fill; the wizard can read your site | The brief you give them, plus their questions |
| Time to the first draft | You start the run; scheduled offices draft nightly | Their first free slot after the kick-off call |
| Output in a month on the middle plan | 20 articles, 60 social packs, 80 images | Whatever the retainer hours cover |
| Who approves before anything goes out | You — approving is what publishes it | You, unless you hand over the logins |
| Where it publishes | WordPress, Shopify, Ghost by API; nine channels handed to you | Wherever you gave them access |
| Evidence that it worked | Search Console and GA4, or "no data yet" | Their report, from the same Google data |
| Ramp-up before it knows your business | The brief, plus up to five pages of your site | A kick-off, then they learn while writing |
| Turnaround on a change request | You edit the draft in Approvals before approving | Their next working slot |
| Price at the entry point | $49/mo | $500–1,500/mo (US/CA/AU/EU retainers, 2026) |
| What you keep when you stop paying | Published pages, plus a JSON export of everything | Published work and whatever files they shared |
| Hard limits | One brand per account; nine channels are hand-off | One person's calendar; holidays pause output |
When not to hire us
- Nothing goes out without a person clicking publish. If you want a channel that runs unattended overnight, this is the wrong tool — the approval step is a gate we do not remove.
- We publish into channels you already own. We do not build the site, the storefront or the accounts; if there is nothing to publish into yet, start there.
- We do not run paid ads. No bidding, no budgets, no ad accounts — a freelancer does that and we do not.
- Nothing physical. No photo shoots, no video crews, no events, no visits.
- Proof needs a connection. Results are read from Search Console and Analytics; without them connected you get published work and no evidence, and we will say so rather than show a made-up number.
- One brand per account. If you run two businesses or two websites, this holds one of them.
How to choose
| If you need… | Choose | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Paid ads run and optimised | A freelancer | We do not touch ad accounts |
| Photo or video produced | A freelancer | Nothing physical happens here |
| Someone in your meetings and on customer calls | A freelancer | We work only from the brief you write |
| Posting done for you on LinkedIn, X, Instagram | A freelancer | Nine of twelve channels are a hand-off here |
| Two brands or two websites covered | A freelancer | One brand per account here |
| Seven roles covered under $200 a month | Vibrant Media | $199 covers six specialists and the chief |
| A monthly volume you can read before paying | Vibrant Media | 8, 20 or 50 articles, printed on the plan |
| Output that continues through holidays | Vibrant Media | Drafts are generated on a nightly schedule |
| Every draft checked before it reaches you | Vibrant Media | Six gates run before it lands in Approvals |
| A person to approve everything | Either | Both wait for you; here there is no switch to remove that |
Pick by the shape of the work, not the price. If the month is writing, SEO, social copy, images and a report from your own Search Console, $199 buys more of it than a retainer does. If the month includes ads, a camera, a meeting or posting into accounts we hand back to you, hire the person.
Common questions
How much does an AI marketing team cost per month?
Vibrant Media costs $49 a month on Solo, $199 on Team and $499 on Scale. Solo includes 12 articles a month, Team 20, and Scale 50, so an article works out at $4.08, $9.95 and $9.98 respectively.
Who approves the content before it goes live?
You do. Every draft waits in Approvals on your Results screen, and approving it is the action that publishes it. There is no setting on any plan that turns unattended publishing on.
Where does an AI marketing team publish?
Into channels you already own. Three of the twelve have a real publishing adapter — WordPress, Shopify and Ghost — and the other nine arrive as a finished pack with a checklist that you post yourself, so no password for them is ever asked for.
How do you prove the work produced results?
From your own Google Search Console and Analytics, read by the analyst role. Without those two connected you get published work and no evidence, and the product says so rather than showing an invented number.
Is an AI marketing team cheaper than a freelancer?
At the entry point, yes: $49 a month against the $500–1,500 a month that a part-time freelance marketer commonly charges. The comparison is not like for like — a freelancer can run ads, shoot photos and post to your social accounts, and this product does none of the three.
The plans and what each one includes are on the pricing section of the site. If the shape of the work is different from what this page assumes, the comparison against an in-house marketer covers the other side of it.
