Copy.ai calls itself "The First AI-Native GTM Platform", and its pricing page has two very different doors. The Chat plan is listed at "$29/mo" with "5 Seats". The first plan with workflow credits, Growth, is listed at "$1,000/mo", billed yearly, with "75 Seats" and "20K Workflow Credits/Mo" (Copy.ai's pricing page, checked 2026-10-10). Most of the reasons a small business moves on sit in the distance between those two doors, so this page is sorted by the reason, not by a ranking.
Five alternatives are listed below, in the order of the reasons. One of them is us, Vibrant Media, and it fits two of the five reasons, not all of them. Every statement about another product is quoted from that product's own public pages, with the date we read them.
Why people look past Copy.ai
Five reasons, each taken from what Copy.ai's own pages say the product is.
| The reason | What Copy.ai's public pages say |
|---|---|
| The next step up after Chat is a large one | Chat is "$29/mo"; the plans with workflow credits start at "$1,000/mo", billed yearly |
| You do not run a sales team | The homepage lists Marketing, Sales, Operations and Sales Development as the teams it serves |
| Nobody has time to build workflows | The larger plans list "20K Workflow Credits/Mo" and up; Enterprise lists "Unlimited Customizable Workflows" |
| The work has to reach your site | Publishing to a website is not listed on the pricing page (checked 2026-10-10) |
| You need proof from your own numbers | Reporting from Search Console or GA4 is not listed on the pricing page (checked 2026-10-10) |
If none of these is your reason, because five people chat in the tool, a team builds workflows across marketing and sales, and you need Salesforce or HubSpot connected, Copy.ai is describing your situation on its own pages, and the section at the end says when to stay.
The five alternatives
Writesonic — when you need a rung between "$29/mo" and "$1,000/mo"
Writesonic lists Starter at $79 a month, Basic at $199 and Growth at $399, each billed annually, with "15 AI articles per month" on Starter, "25 AI articles per month" on Basic and "50 AI articles per month" on Growth (checked 2026-10-10). Its pricing page names WordPress, Sanity, Contentful, Webflow and Ghost for one-click export, and Google Search Console is listed on every self-serve plan.
What you give up against Copy.ai: "1 user, 1 project" on Starter, where Chat lists "5 Seats". Full comparison: Vibrant Media vs Writesonic.
Soro — when you want one job, articles on your site, and no workflows
Soro's pricing page lists "Starting from $39/mo" and describes a daily loop: "A new post is created every morning. Approve it, tweak it, or auto-publish it." It names WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Notion, HubSpot, Ghost, Wix and Next.js, and the dashboard shows "analytics from Google Search Console and similar sources" (checked 2026-09-07).
What you give up against Copy.ai: chat, agents and tables; Soro's pages describe the article loop and not much else. Auto-publish is one of its options, so decide before you start whether anything may go live unread. Full comparison: Vibrant Media vs Soro.
Jasper — when the platform should be marketing only
Jasper describes itself as "The execution platform for intelligent marketing" and says marketing teams use it "to run campaigns, execute multi-channel workflows, and scale content pipelines". Pro is "$59/month billed yearly or $69/month billed monthly" and "Includes 1 seat" (checked 2026-10-10).
What you give up against Copy.ai: five seats at the entry price, and the sales-side teams on Copy.ai's homepage. What stays the same: someone on your side still sits in the tool. Full comparison: Vibrant Media vs Jasper.
ChatGPT or Claude — when you only want to keep the chat
Copy.ai's Chat plan gives "Access to OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini models". A consumer plan with one of those vendors directly runs $0–30 per person per month (published consumer and team-plan list prices, 2026). If the subscription is already on your card, one more post costs nothing extra.
What you give up against Copy.ai: shared seats, Infobase and Brand Voice set up once. Every session starts from what you paste in, and you publish by hand. Full comparison: Vibrant Media vs ChatGPT and Claude.
Vibrant Media — when nobody has time to build, and the result must reach your site
Seven AI roles plan the month from one brief, write, run every draft through six quality gates, and publish to WordPress, Shopify or Ghost only after you click approve. With Search Console and GA4 connected, the analyst labels every figure by where it came from. $49 a month on Solo for the blogger and the chief manager, $199 on Team for all seven roles with 20 articles, 60 social packs and 80 images.
What you give up against Copy.ai: workflows of your own, sales, seats, integrations and translation. The seven roles are fixed, we are English only, and there is no trial period. Full comparison: Vibrant Media vs Copy.ai.
Pick by the reason you are leaving
| If you are leaving Copy.ai because… | Look at | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Chat is too small and "$1,000/mo" is too large | Writesonic | Starter, Basic and Growth are listed at $79, $199 and $399, billed annually |
| You want articles on your site and nothing else | Soro | "Starting from $39/mo"; "A new post is created every morning." |
| You want a marketing-only platform | Jasper | "The execution platform for intelligent marketing" |
| You only need the model, and will paste the output yourself | ChatGPT or Claude | $0–30 per person a month |
| Nobody has time to build a workflow | Vibrant Media | The roles are fixed and work from one brief; you approve |
| Articles must reach WordPress, Shopify or Ghost | Vibrant Media | Approving a draft is the action that publishes it |
| You need results read from Search Console and GA4 | Vibrant Media | Both are pulled, and every figure carries its source label |
| Your sales and marketing teams share one platform | Stay with Copy.ai | Marketing, Sales, Operations and Sales Development are on its homepage |
| You need Salesforce, HubSpot or Gong connected | Stay with Copy.ai | "2,000+ Integrations" on its homepage |
| You need translation into other languages | Stay with Copy.ai | A listed use case; we are English only |
What each costs
Each price is quoted from that product's own pricing page on the date shown. Pages change; theirs is the correct figure.
| Product | Entry price as listed | What the entry price includes | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|
| Copy.ai | "$29/mo" Chat; "$1,000/mo" Growth, billed yearly | Chat: "5 Seats", "Unlimited Words in Chat"; Growth: "75 Seats", "20K Workflow Credits/Mo" | 2026-10-10 |
| Writesonic | $79/mo, billed annually | "15 AI articles per month", "1 user, 1 project" | 2026-10-10 |
| Soro | "Starting from $39/mo" | "anywhere from 30 to unlimited articles per month" depending on plan | 2026-09-07 |
| Jasper | $59/mo billed yearly, $69/mo monthly | "Includes 1 seat", "2 Brand Voices, 5 Knowledge assets and 3 Audiences" | 2026-10-10 |
| ChatGPT or Claude | $0–30 per person a month | One assistant; you are every role | 2026 |
| Vibrant Media | $49/mo Solo, $199/mo Team, $499/mo Scale | Solo: 12 articles a month; Team: seven roles, 20 articles, 60 social packs, 80 images | our pricing page |
We do not print a saving figure between any two rows. Seats, workflow credits, tracked articles and finished articles are different units, and arithmetic between them would be invented.

When not to hire us
- You have a team and want to build its own AI workflows. Copy.ai sells the building blocks; our seven roles are fixed.
- The job includes sales. We write marketing content; prospecting and sales outreach are not something the product does.
- Several people need to work in the tool. One account runs one office here; there are no seats to hand out.
- Nothing goes out without a person clicking publish. If you want posts appearing while nobody reads them, Soro offers auto-publish and the approval step here is a gate we do not remove.
- Nine of our twelve channels are a hand-off, not an integration. Medium, Telegram, LinkedIn, X, Pinterest, Reddit, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok: we write the post and a checklist, you post it from your own account.
- We publish in English. No translation, no localisation, no second language anywhere in the product.
- Proof needs a connection. Without Search Console and GA4 connected you get published work and no evidence, and the report says so rather than showing a number.
Checked on their sites on the dates in the cost table. Copy.ai, Writesonic and Jasper were read on 2026-10-10, Soro on 2026-09-07; each product's figures come from its own homepage and pricing page. If a figure here is out of date, theirs is the correct one — tell us and we will fix it. Our plans are on the pricing section of the site, and every comparison is listed on the comparisons page.
